The advocacy work of attorney Leslie C. Curry as litigation director for Legal Aid of Western Michigan was recognized by the YWCA of West Central Michigan at its annual Tribute to Women luncheon November 4 at DeVos Place. The Tribute to Women celebrates the work of women who have made "extraordinary efforts to strengthen the community."
Ms. Curry, a graduate of Hope College and University of Michigan Law School, has been an attorney at Legal Aid of Western Michigan for more than 25 years and has served as Litigation Director since 1995. In addition to handling hundreds of legal matters for low income clients, Ms. Curry supervises, encourages, and mentors the work of the 36 staff attorneys at Legal Aid.
