Low income persons and Seniors in Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, Cass or VanBuren Counties should call the toll-free intake number 1-888-783-8190 if they do not have an open case with an attorney in this office.
The phone lines are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Some matters will be handled by attorneys over the telephone.
In more complex matters--such as those
where the attorneys believe that more extensive representation may be
necessary and the case is one that Legal Aid of Western Michigan would handle, the case will be
assigned to an attorney for an in-person meeting.
Attorneys from Legal Aid of Western Michigan are also available for consultation regarding landlord/tenant and eviction cases at the Crosstown Courthouse in Kalamazoo on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings when the cases are being heard.
