For more than 40 years, Legal Services Corporation funded agencies in Western Michigan have provided free legal assistance to low income persons and Seniors in non-criminal, non-fee generating matters. Legal Aid of Western Michigan currently serves people in 17 counties in the lower Western part of Michigan with offices in Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Niles and St. Joseph.  

The attorneys at Legal Aid of Western Michigan provide a full range of legal assistance to eligible clients.  Services include:

• Counsel and advice--including telephone intake, advice &  brief service;
• Representation in cases with administrative agencies
• Representation in Michigan Courts.

In addition, the program has a long history of community partnerships addressing the needs of low income, Seniors, persons with handicaps, and Domestic Violence survivors.
